If your device is not found on the list, please click "Refresh List" button to make the device seen in the list or verify whether the device is properly connected or there are any hardware problems with the device.

Otherwise you may choose the device from which you want to recover data and then click "NEXT" to start searching partitions on it. After the Quick Partition Searching process completes, the Data Recovery Wizard Professional workspace will display a Partition List Page.

If the Quick Partition Searching can not find any partitions or if you press "Cancel" in Quick Partition Searching, it will transfer to the Intelligent Searching to search partitions automatically.

Partition List Page

In fact, In the Partition List Page, all the partitions listed here are in abnormal state and usually you cannot see them in the Windows Explorer as well as Disk Management Console. Therefore, they are all marked with "?". That's why this recovery module will be named as "Partition Recovery". If you have recognized the partition you want to recover data from, select the partition and then press "NEXT" to begin "Building directory". On this step, you will see the number of the found objects of the partition updated dynamically. After this process has been finished, then you will directly be brought to File List Page.

If the partition you want is not listed, tick the If the partition you wanted cannot be found, please check it and click NEXT to scan the device again. And you will be transferred to "Intelligent Searching" for searching in detail. Every possible existent partition will be detected and listed by this exhaustive scanning.

Select Recognized Partition Page

The Intelligent Searching module will scan on the whole device, collect and analyze every byte on the device, then show you a list of partitions which are possible on it.

For each one listed here, Data Recovery Wizard Professional displays a number of statistics, including the file system of partition, a suggestion by its data quality, its size in GB/MB, its system option and amount of matching files and folders.

In default state, the partition that was suggested in High was chosen. And the others are not chosen. This will give you a good idea of which partition will yield the best results.

If the state of the partition, which has been found, is good enough, in the system options column, you will find FAT options if this partitions file system is FAT12/16/32 or MFT option if NTFS partition. Try to use the first FAT copy or second FAT copy, or maybe even there is no FAT to get the best quality of data (depending on the nature of the damage to the disk and fragmentation of the files prior to the loss). And the same usage of the MFT for NTFS partition.

Data Recovery Wizard Professional will permit you choosing 6 partitions at most to recover the data. And then, press "Next" button. The Data Recovery Wizard Professional will launch the "Building directory" procedure to searching the files. You will see file/folder tree very soon.

Go to "Working with found data" section of this Help manual for further steps. (If you are familiar with the file system details, you can change "Option" before clicking "Next" button.

Continue Previous Recovery

Once you have performed a scan with the "Complete Recovery" or "Partition Recovery", then Data Recovery Wizard Professional will automatically save the searching result, and later on, when you rerun the recovery module, the "Previous Recovery" graphic option will appears in the list for you to choose to continue just from the location where it was stopped.
